Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for Scholarship For Top Class Education For Students With Disabilities, applicant must have to meet the following eligibility criteria’s these are as follows:-
- Applicant must be a permanent resident of India.
- This is admissible only for pursuing Graduate and postgraduate Degree/Diploma courses in Institutes of Excellence in Education as notified by the Department.
- Applicant must have 40% or more disability as stated in the Disabilities Act 2016.
- Only two disabled children from each family can get it. In case of twin child, both can get the benefits of this scholarship.
- Only one scholarship is applicable for one year in one class.
- Applicants taking this scholarship cannot take any other scholarship or stipend together.
- Only regular Graduate or Postgraduate Degree or Diploma in top colleges recognized by the government are eligible.
- The annual income of the student’s family must be less than Rs. 8 lakh per annum from all sources.

Financial Benefits
Here are the benefits of the Scholarship for Top Class Education for Students With Disabilities are as follows:-
- Under this, up to Rs. 1.90 lakh every year, admission and tuition fees are paid by the government, which helps students reduce the burden.
- On the other hand, fees including library, sports, medical, and some compulsory charges are also given up to Rs. 10,000 in one year.
- Also, a laptop with accessories is provided in the first year for which Rs. 45,000 is paid after showing the bill.
- Additionally, Rs. 30,000 is given as one payment in the first year for buying aids and assistive devices needed for disability.
- Maintenance allowance of Rs. 3,000 per month for hostellers and Rs. 1,500 per month for day scholars is given to help students in their daily needs.
- An extra special allowance of Rs. 2,000 per month and a book allowance of Rs. 5,000 per year is also paid by the government to the selected students.
